the good:

i posted on social media about taking family photos a few weeks ago and have been super busy and earning christmas cash.

the bad:

i feel gross. pretty much all the time. matt is the only one who knows about baby so he's the only one i complain to. poor guy.

the ugly:

no ugly list. just feeling blah.

family photos awesome and kind of the worst. 

they are just stressful no matter how much you prepare and try NOT to be stressed.

kayla had an open slot one sunday afternoon so i jumped at the chance to 

get updated photos and we made it happen.

we went right after we changed our clothes from church and met kayla up butterfield canyon.

i thought matt was being a total grouch about photos. he thought i was being a grouch.

perfect moods for family photos.

we brought the dog but he got super dirty right off the bat so that was kind of mistake and that made things more stressful for matt.

regardless of our bad moods, kayla worked her magic and i was super happy with the results.

these photos are total treasures to me.

i've loved having some of these prints displayed in our home, 

on our wall in our kitchen and in our bedroom. 

i was thinking i could be pregnant that day (maybe that was my mood problem).

matt was back to his easy going, happy self as soon as we were done with photos.

where was that guy an hour ago?!

we missed our chance to do our chili in the canyon this fall due to rainy weather so i thought ahead and brought chili in the crockpot and crackers and cheese for dinner afterwards.

the sun went down pretty quick but it worked out quite splendid i thought.

baby kohvey

baby kohvey ty olson is here and she's so cute.

karen, aly and i (and molls) zipped down to moroni to have a peek at her.

and to snap a few newborn photos.

i'm so glad we went. 

we had such a great time flapping our gums on the drive down and back.

juicy details about the past might have been shared.

i really love those ladies.

and it's always fun to inhale newborn baby sweetness.

family of three

i've known kayla since she was 14. 

i've watched her blossom as a young woman and go through high school.

she waited for her darling missionary and 

3 years ago i was in the salt lake temple with them to see them married.

baby crew joined their family a few weeks ago.

these two will no doubt make awesome parents.

i'm so excited for them and was so happy to have the chance to

have a first peek at baby boy the day after he was born.

baby toaster

we've called him "toaster" for months. griff came up with the name...it has 7 letters after all.

mr grant is as sweet as they come.

we snapped these photos when he was under 10 days old.

i'm pretty sure he's one of the cutest babies i've ever laid eyes on.
